Computer is a general-purpose machine. It can handle different types of jobs depending on the software installed into the computer.

It cannot get tired like human beings when they work for a long time. They are reliable electronic devices and are suitable for repetitive jobs.

It has high storage capacity far more than that of human beings. It can store large amount of information and retrieve it when needed.
