Difference between data and information: Data is the name given to raw facts and it makes up the raw materials for producing information. Examples of data include: names of persons, places or things, 1, 2, 3 @, €, £, etc.
Informationon the other hand means data that has been changed into a more
meaningful form. Examples of information are: 8+6=14, John scored 50% in the examination, etc.
